Who we are

What IS General Contracting?

Doing things for people, that they could do for themselves, but don’t have the experience to do so.”

A General Contractor is responsible for the day-to-day oversight of a construction site, management of vendors and trade contractors, and the communication of information to all involved parties throughout the course of a building project.

People think of Contractors as construction workers, we are actually more in the Service Industry.
We provide the Service of bringing your dreams to reality.

Using our vast experience, network of designers, vetted trade contractors, and focused project managers,  we deliver clients projects on time and on budget. We transform our clients visions, drawn by designers, into physical reality for a lifetime of enjoyment.
Scheduling, value engineering, and work-place efficiency all play a critical role in your project; this is where Cordero Construction shines.
Using the best project management software, streamlined communications, and budget tracking, we keep everything and everyone “in the loop”..  Accountability in its purest form.

General Contracting  when done right, looks easy and perfectly planned.
Start with a GC that knows how to do things right from the start:

Meet Our Team

Brian Cordero

President

 (805) 324-4775

The Cordero name is synonymous with the home building industry in the Santa Barbara area. While there are both distant and near relatives in just about every construction trade, Brian Cordero stands out among them as the Fine Home building General Contractor.
Brian started in the industry in the early 90s as a finish carpenter and has continued to build a reputation as both a high end home remodeler/builder and a reputable pleasant person to work with. Brian has built a team of trade contractors selected over many years of working together and evaluating the work performed. These personal-working relationships ensure that the other professionals working on your project are well vetted prior to setting foot on your jobsite.
Brian brings over 25 years of hands on experience, working personally on projects, beginning with Cordero Carpentry and transitioning to Cordero Construction Inc upon obtaining a General Contracting license.
Clients who were looking for a knowledgeable, straightforward, competitive GC with great attention to detail have consistently found what they were looking for with Brian and the Cordero Team.

Jon Heffner

Project Administrator

 Jon@Corderoinc.com
 (805) 324-4775

Jon brings many years of varied field experience into a project support role at Cordero Construction.
With BS in Environmental Science and a passion for energy efficient, durable homes, Jon has continued his education as both a lifetime LEED –Accredited Professional as well as a Building Performance Institute-Envelope Specialist.
What that means for our clients is they are getting a lot of “building geek” for the money without the extra expense of hiring outside "green" consultants for a similar benefit. Jon has hands on experience in many trades including waterproofing, building wraps, insulation, solar, and high end project management. There is not much that will get past Jon at a job site or in the paperwork.
Now spending more time in the office, his past field experience and knowledge make Jon the perfect addition to the team and a great value to clients during all aspects of the project.
